Is a Dep. Lieut, and a Magistrate for Suffolk and Antrim, and Provincial Grand Master of the Freemasons for Suffolk. Married (1836) Theodosia, who died 1871, daughter of Gen. the Hon. R. Meade. Brother living, Hugh Edward, heir presumptive to baronetage only; 6.1815; educated at Harrow, and at St. John's College, Oxford (B.A. 1839, M.A. 1843) ; called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn 1844 ; is a Dep. Lieut, and a Magistrate for Suffolk ; sat as M.P. for Ipswich (L.) 184774, when he was an unsuccessful candidate: m. 1856, Harriet Camilla, daughter of Alexander Adair, Esq.
