- The 1st Baronet, Sir Edward Acton, received his baronetcy for loyalty and fidelity to
Charles I. The 6th Baronet, Sir John Francis Edward, was commander-in-chief of the land and sea forces of Naples, and for many years prime minister of that country : he died 1811. The 7th Baronet assumed the additional surname of Dalberg by sign manual, after his marriage with Marie Louise Pelline, only child of Emeric Joseph, Duke of Dalberg ; who m. 2ndly, the second Earl Granville, and d. in I860.
