Residence, 15, Onslow Square, S.W. This family is descended from Sir Nicholas Langrish, Kt., who was seized of the Manor of Langrish, Hants, A.D. 1273. The Irish branch is descended from Rafe, or Ralph, 3rd son of Nicholas Langrish, of Langrish. Ralph Langrish died between 1542-59 ; the 3rd in descent from him was Major Hercules Langrishe, Carver in Ordinary to Queen Henrietta Maria, who prevented the arrest of the " Five Members" by Charles I., and the 7th was the ist baronet, Sir Hercules, who sat for forty years as M.P. for Knocktopher in the Irish Parliament.
