Two typewritten copies of these notes were made by me, the original and a carbon copy, the former to be placed in the library of the University of Colorado, the other retained by me as partial compensation for the laborious task of deciphering, transcribing, annotating and indexing the notes. The original note-books are placed in the Gale collection of nests and eggs in the University of Colorado, which is part of the Guggenheim Biological Collection.
