Canon Nugent Wade; m. 3rd, 3 June, 1913, Aileen Mary, dau. of late John Macpherson, of Bombay, barr.-at-law; suc. his bro., 1910. The 1st Bt. represented Cumberland in Parliament for 34 years; he was in the service of the E.I.C. (having commanded two of their vessels, the "Stormont" and the "Earl of Middlesex"); and was a director of the E.I.C. from 1766-84. The 4th Bart, was M.P. for 30 years and a Privy Counsellor, he assumed the additional surname and arms of Aubrey by roy. licence 1903 on succession under will of Sir John Aubrey, Bt. The 1st Bt., an alderman of London, was knighted on the presentation of an address to George II; and in 1701, as Lord Mayor, entertained George III at dinner.
