Lorton. This last-named Peer, who was his 2nd s., received his title for military services, and was an Irish repre- sentative Peer for 34 years. The 3rd Earl of Kingston received in 1821 an English Barony, which, however, became extinct on the failure of his direct line in 1809, while the Irish honours devolved on his kinsman, the 2ud Vise.
