When the Commune was outlawed, Rose also accompanied several deputies who went and harangued the troops brought by Henriot to the Carrousel to crush the Convention. Let us hope that Merlin de Thionville, to whom Rose sent a statement of his services, secured him the reward due to his intrepidity.
