The two subjoined inscriptions were discovered by Mr. T. A. Gopinatha Rao, M.A., in the Nrisimha temple at the village of Nftrasihgam, 6 miles east of Madura. The central shrine of this temple is cut into the hill known as Anaimalai. In an inscription dated in the
