Appendix.

"Thine was a blessed flight,
Ere sorrow clouded, or ere sin could slay;
No weary course was thine, no arduous fight;
But an hour on earth of labour light,
And hire for all the day!
Can aught be more than this?
Yes, Christian, yes!
It is much more to live,
And a long life to the 'good fight' to give;
'To keep the faith,' the appointed race to run;
And then to win the praise,—'Servant of God, well done!'"

The original spelling and punctuation has been observed, as nearly as possible, throughout the Epitaphs.
