Amending Executive Order No. 7046, of May 20, 1935, Prescribing Rules and Regulations Relating to Wages, Hours of Work, and Conditions of Employment Under the Emergency Relirf Appropriation Act of 1935

amendment to regulation no. 1

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935 (Public Res. 11, 74th Cong.; 49 Stat. 115), the first paragraph of part I of regulation no. 1, prescribed in Executive Order No. 7046, of May 20, 1935, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:

"The Administrator of the Works Progress Administration may require that all lost time due to conditions beyond the control of workera and for which they have received credit without working shall be made up without additional compensation if, in the opinion of the Administrator, progress on the entire program or any part thereof will be expedited thereby."
