TREATISE.

The obviate some misapprehensions that may arise concerning the ensuing Notes about Particular Qualities, it may not be improper to adde something in this place to what has been said in another † See Tracts about Cosmical Qualities, &c. to which is prefixt an Introduction to the History of Particular Qualities; Printed at Oxford 1671.Paper in reference to those Notes, and consequently to premise to the particular Experiments some few general Advertisements about them.

And I. we may consider, that there may be three differing ways of treating Historically of Particular Qualities.
