The various stanzas and verses of Henry Clarence Kendall herein used for illustrations are introduced in this volume, subject to the kind permission of Angus and Robertson, of Castlereagh Street, Sydney, who are at present publishing the complete works of the poet, including many poems collected for the first time in volume form, and therefore new to the general reader.
