47 Geo. III.William Cleaver, bishop of Bangor, was nominated to St. Asaph by the King in council 17th Oct. 1806[4] and was elected 4th Nov. pursuant to the congé d'élire. The royal assent to his election was given 8th Nov., he was confirmed 25th Nov.[5], and the temporalities were restored to him on the 26th[6]. He died 15th May 1815, and was buried in Brasenose college, Oxford.

55 Geo. III.John Luxmoore, bishop of Hereford, was nominated to this see 19th May 1815[7], and was elected 8th June, pursuant to the congé d'élire of 23rd May. The royal assent to his election was given 10th June. He was confirmed 20th June[8], and the temporalities were restored to him on the 21st of that month[9]. He died 21st Jan. 1830, aged 73 years.

11 Geo. IV.William Carey, bishop of Exeter, was nominated to St. Asaph 9th Feb. 1830[10], and elected 12th March, pursuant to the congé d'élire of 20th Feb. The royal assent was given 22nd March. He was confirmed 7th April[11], and the temporalities were restored 29th June. He died 13th Sept. 1846, aged 77 years.

10 Victoria.Thomas Vowler Short, bishop of Sodor and Man, was nominated by the Queen in council 27th Oct. 1846[12], to St. Asaph, and elected 4th Nov. pursuant to the congé d'élire and letter missive which issued accordingly[13]. The royal assent to his election was given 5th Nov.[14] He was confirmed on the 21st of the same month, and the temporalities were restored
