Edmund Lacy, S.T.P., canon of Hereford and dean of the King's chapel^ was chosen. He had a grant of the custody of the temporalities 8th Feb.^*^, and the King wrote to the Pope in his favour 17 th Feb-^^ The papal assent to his election was given 3rd March 1417"^, he was consecrated 18th ApriHi, and the temporalities restored to him ist May following^'^. In 1420 he was translated to Exeter^^.

Thomas Polton, LL.B., dean of Yorh^ the Pope's notary^ was promoted to Hereford by papal provision; the bull is dated Id. Jul. (15th July) 1420^^. He made profession of obedience 4th Nov., and obtained the temporalities on the 9th of the same month *^. In J 422 he was translated to Chichester ^s.
