Samuel Freeman, nominated 22nd April 1691, vice Beveridge.

John Mills, 12th Aug. 1704[1], installed 14th Aug. Died 23rd June 1707.

Elias Sydall, 14th July 1707[2], and installed on the 27th of the same month. He resigned in 1728 on being made dean.

John Lynch, 22nd April 1728[3]. Resigned in 1733-4 on being made dean.

Edward Donne, 14th Jan. 1733-4[4]. Ob. Jan. 1743-4.

Thomas Tanner, 18th Jan. 1745-6, vice Edward Donne[5]; installed on the 31st of the same month. He died 11th March 1786.

Thomas King, 24th March 1786, vice Thomas Tanner[6]. He resigned in 1795.

Houstone Radcliffe, 13th Aug. 1795, vice Thomas King[7]. Died 8th April 1822.

James Croft, 26th April 1822, vice Houstone Radcliffe[8].

CANONS IN THE FIFTH PREBEND.

Nicholas Ridley, appointed by the charter of incorporation, 3rd April 1542. He was made bishop of Rochester in 1547, and held this stall until he was promoted to London in 1550.

Thomas Willoughbye succeeded Ridley, and was presented 18th July 1550, and admitted 23rd June 1551. He was deprived in 1554, and died in 1585,

    The dates of their appointments, &c. have not been ascertained; but Jackson held the stall in 1556.

Isaac Colfe, 5th Aug. 1596[9].

Richard Colfe. The date of his appointment has not been found. He died 7th Oct. 1613.
