He died 28th March 1526, and was bu- ried in the chapel. John London, J.C.D., canon of Windsor^ York, and Lincoln^ succeeded in this wardenship in Dec. 1526, and resigned in 1542. Henry Cole, LL.D., was elected 4th Oct. 1542. He resigned 16th April 1551. He became archdeacon of Ely, provost of Eton, and dean of St. PauFs. Ralph Skinner, M.A., was elected 1st May 155 i . He resigned in 1553. Thomas Whyte, LL.D., was elected nth Sept. 1553. He resigned in 1573. Martin Culpepper or Colepeppek, M.D., was elected 17th Oct. 1573. He became dean of Chichester. Ho resigned the wardenship in 1599. George Ryves, S.T.P., succeeded 21st Dec. 1599. He died in the beginning of June 1613. Arthur Lake, S.T.P., dean of Worcester^ was elected 17th June 1613. Bishop of Bath and Wells in 1616. Robert Pinke, M.A., M.B., (and afterwards S.T.P.,) succeeded 17th July 1617. He died 3rd Nov. 1647, and was buried in the chapel. Henry Stringer, S,T.P.,/o77wer7y Greeh professor, sv<>^ elected 8th Nov. 1 647 . He was ejected by the Par- liament delegates 1st Aug. 1648. (teorge Marshall, S.T.B., of St. Johns college in Gam- bridfje^ was substituted by the same authority that ejected his predecessor, 25th Jan. 1648—9. Me died 3rd Nov. 1658, and was buried in the chapel. Michael Woodward, S.T.B., (afterwards S.T.P.,) was elected 23rd Nov. 1658.
