William Chedsey, S.T.P., archdeacon of Middlesex., canon of Christ Church and Windsor, was admitted president i 5th Sept. 1558, and deprived the year fol- lowing, for not taking the oath of supremacy. William Bocher or Butcher, S.T.B., was sworn 15th Dec. 1559, and resigned in December 1561. Thomas Greneway, S.T.B., was admitted 3rd Jan. 156 1-2, and resigned in 1568. William Cole, S.T.P., was sworn 19th July 1568, and resigned in 1598. He became dean of Lincoln. John Rainolds or Reynolds, S.T.P., <^w of Lincoln ^ was elected president i itli Dec. 1598 ; whereupon he resigned his deanery to William Cole above mentioned. He died 21st May 1607, setat. 58, and was buried in the chapel. John Spencer, S.T.P., was sworn 9th July 1607. He died 3rd April 1614, and was buried in the chapel. Thomas Anyan, S.T.P., was sworn ist June 1614. He resigned in 1629. ^^ ^^^ prebendary of the twelfth stall of Canterbury. John Holt, S.T.P., prebendary of Westminster, was sworn 1st May 1629. ^^ ^^^^ oh Jan. 1630-31, and it is said was buried in the college chapel. Thomas Jackson, S.T.P., was sworn 17th Feb. 1630. He died 21st Sept. 1640, and was buried in the chapel. Robert Newlin, S.T.B., was sworn 9th Oct. 1640. He was ejected by the Parliament delegates in 1648. Edmund Staunton, S.T.P., was substituted by the same authority that ejected his predecessor 22nd May 1648; but after the Restoration, he was obhged to give place to the right owner. Robert Newlin, S.T.P., was restored by the King's visitors, 7th Aug. 1660. He died 5th March 1687-8, setat. 90, or more, and was buried in the chapel. Thomas Turner, S.T.P., was elected J3th March 1687-8.
