NEW-INN HALL. 587 John Wilkinson, M.A. fellow of Magdalen college^ succeeded in 1605. Thomas Read^ AjJ).^ late fellow of New college, was admitted by the King's mandate i6th Oct. 1643. John Wilkinson, S.T.P., was restored in 1646. He became president of Magdalen college. Henry Wilkinson, S.T.B., (afterwards S.T.P.), was admitted 12th Aug. 1648, and deprived in 1662. James Hyde, M.D., late fellow of Corpus Christi college, was admitted 22nd Sept. 1662. He became regius professor of medicine^ died 7th May 1681^ setat. 64, and was buried in the church of St. Peter-in-the-East, Oxon. William Levett, S.T.P., was admitted ist June 1681. NEW-INN HALL, or TRILLEK-INN, Derives its latter appellation from John Trillek, bishop of Hereford, and Thomas Trillek, his brother, who were owners of it in 1349, from whom through several hands it came at length to William Wykeham, bishop of Winchester, who, in the year 1392, gave it to New college.
