Very few outcrops in the bay NW of Belleview fold, but enough to show the relations of formations The normal Lyons monocline next to granite is much more like typical Lyons further south, but still with some limestone bands (thin) and calcareous sandstones, as shown by effervescence. At Belleview light colored Lykins sandstone is good building stone and flagging, particularly the latter. The Belleview anticline is an elongated dome NW and SE. The river has cut through the Lyons and very deep into the Fountain, which is well exposed in the escarpment on E side of the river but covered in the valley.
