Sch. Ath., viii. 1 ff., 271 ff.) But Dr. Rouse will have the satisfaction of knowing that his book will certainly be read with profit for many years to come. To borrow his own terminology, he has made, if not an "ideal," at least a very "material" offering to the classic Muse.
