Díp Singh of Sawájpur and possibly Rája Hardeo Bakhsh of Katiảri are the only acknowledged chiefs of clans, the only men whose taluqdari title does represent and enabody a real feudal power and influence over their subjects. One or two of the smaller es- tates, however, are very old and real allodial properties.
