THe main continent of Scotland will be in length 240
miles ( ſuch miles as the whole Earth is, 21600 in
compaſs,) and will be in breadth, in the Latitude of 55 d. 30' ( which is the ſouth end thereof 140 miles, and a- bout the Latitude of 35 d. oo'is 90 miles, and in Lati- tude 57 d. 5o' is 160 miles, and in Latitude 59 d. oo which is the north end) 80 miles, and will be in Pro- portion about 117 1/4 miles.
The Iland of Ila, is 24 miles in length, and about as
much in breadth. The iſland of Mull is about 30 miles in length, and as much in breadth. The Inand of sky is 60 miles in length, and 15 in breadth. The Iſland of Arran, lying in Dambritain Firth, is 16 miles in length, and 8 miles in breadth: The Iſland Lewis is 50 miles in length, North and South, and is 36 miles broad at the north end, and 10 miles broad at the ſouth end, and in proportion is 23 miles broad. North-eaſt of Lewis lyeth the Iſle of Rona 7 miles in length, and 4 in breadtha Next the Lewes ſouth, lyeth St. Patricks Iſland, 16 miles S: in length, and io in breadth. St. Maries Iſlacdis zo in length and 6 in breadth, St. Collumbs is 14 in length, and 10 in breadth. St. Peters is no in length, and as much in breadth. The Iſland of Pute is 10 miles in length, and 3 in breadth. The Iſland Kilda is 35 miles in com- paſs.
