Mr Ernst Hartert Zoological Museum Tring, England

My dear Mr. Hartert;

I have to advise you that I expect to sail for Cayenne by way of Demerara on the 9th of September. At Cayenne you will please address me care of Mr. Edward A. L. Lalanne, US Consular agent, Cayenne, French Guiana.

I had hoped to receive some returns from the sale of my duplicate bird skins ere? this; but suppose you ahve been unable to settle the matter?

I am taking a companion with me from this city; a Mr. B.T.Gault who makes an excellent bird skin and has had considerable experience in local work. I think we will send you a satisfactory lot? of material.
