common plane as brothers, and to travel on together in comfort and peace towards the "land of the blest"—their common home in eternity. So will men accomplish the great purpose of their being; so will they use this world and this life for the great and chief end for which it was given,—as a place of preparation for the next world and the life to come: so will mankind be happy even here, while preparing to be happier still hereafter; and all "shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
