49. and āgynð bēatan hys efenþēowas, and yt and drincþ mid druncenum;[1]

50. þonne cymþ ðæs wēales hlāford on þām dæge ðe hē nā ne wēnþ, and on ðǣre tīde þe hē nāt,[2]

51. and tōdǣlþ hyne, and āsett hys dǣl mid līccetterum; þǣr byþ wōp and tōþa grīstbitung.[3]


CAPUT XXV

Đys [godspel] sceal tō hāligra fǣmnena mæssedæge.

1. Þonne byþ heofena rīce gelīc þām tȳn fǣmnum þe ðā lēohtfatu nāmon, and fērdon ongēn þone brȳdguman and þā brȳde.[4]

2. Hyra fīf wǣron dysige, and fīf glēawe.[5]

3. Ac þā fīf dysegan nāmon lēohtfatu, and ne nāmon nānne ele mid hym;[6]

4. ðā glēawan nāmon ele on hyra fatum mid þām lēohtfatum.[7]

5. Đā sē brȳdguma ylde, þā hnappudon hig ealle and slēpun.[8]
