جو کوئِي جو بر چاهے مُجھي سے لے 'whoever desires any boon let him take it from me.'

284. Respectful Pronoun.

The personal pronoun آپ has been incidentally eplained in Rule 81. The genitive of this pronoun is آپ کا, and must not be confounded with the reflexive اپْنا. آپ کي تَوَجُّه 'by your highness's favour.'

285. Reflexive Pronoun.

The word آپ 'self' is used alone, or it is added to the Nominative case of the personal pronouns, مَیں آپ، وُہ آپ 'I myself,' 'he himself,' etc. The Persian خود is also used in the same way.

مَعلُوم هُوا کِہ آپ هي هََیں 'it was discovered that it was they very selves.' جب تک وُہ ما باهْمنوں کي آپ تیرے پاس نہ آوے 'until that mother of the brahmins herself comes to you.' وُہ خوُد تیرے نزْدِیک آويگي 'she herself will come to you.' مِٹي کمهار کے یہاں خُود بہ خُود برْتن نہِیں بنتی 'clay is not itself made into dishes at the potter's abode.' وہ آپ ہی آپ آیا 'he himself came.'
