SixiiKOTOK located in Danville in 1854 and was a surgeon in the 141b and 93d regiments o f Pennsylvania volunteers during the Civil war, serving with distinction. 11is practice was a large and lucrative one. He was electe<l associate judge o f Montour coun ty fo r two terms. D r . G eo ro p . Y e d x i a n s, son o f Kev. John W. Yeomans* 1). D.. practiced fo r a number of years in Danville during the sixties. D r . J a x i k 5 O o l e s b v graduated from Je ffe r son Medical CoUt^e in 1868 and immediately commenced practice in Danville. He was a native o f Ireland, came (0 Danville at an early age* and was well known in all this territory where lie soon acquired a l a i ^ practice. He was devoted to his profession and had the con fidence o f all the community. He practiced for over forty years, a portion of the time de voting special attention to the eye and its trc*itmcnt. Dr. Schultz was elected superintendent of the Slate Hospital fo r the Insane, which (losition lie occupied until his death. He was a grad uate o f Princeton Collide in the class o f 1K52. D r . C. L . F r e y for a nuniln'r of years was assistant physician at the State Hospital for the Insane at Danville. Dr. F rey afterw ards removed to Scranton* where he has been practicing as an eye specialist. D r. AextNzo A m e r m a n w as a native of the county and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, 111 1875. Dr. Amcrman was enjoying a large practice and w*as much belove<1 in (he homes where he ministered when he was suddenly called home in the very prime o f life, Jan. 19, 1886.

N e w b a k e r was bom in Dauphin county and graduated from Je ffe r son Medical College in 1869. Dr. Newbaker located at Washin^onville and practiced there for a number o f years before his removal to Danville, where he ts still in active practice.
