Stew art at once secured from Dr. O glesby this option and immediately M r. B eaver closed the negotia tions and purchased the properly. Mr. C. S. Wetzel w as employed a s architect and a brick building o f moderate proportions w as planned. The thought w as to provide quarters fo r the young men on the tnird floor. Thom as Beaver, w as present at the laying of the cornerstone. H e w as very prominently connecteil with the Y ou n g Men's Christian .Association movement in the Slate, and very closely identified with the movement for the uplifting and betterment of the young men o f Pennsylvania.
