It is difficult to quote specimens when one must confine oneself to a limited nnmber but the following songs, well-known as they are, are quoted to make them better known. আর কিছু নাই শ্ঠামা মাতোর কেবল দুটি চরণ রাগ! । শুনি তাও নিয়েছেন ত্রিপুরারি দেখে হলাম সাহস ভাঙ্গা ॥ জ্ঞাতি বন্ধু স্থুত দার! স্থখের সময় সবাই তারা৷ বিপদকালে কেউ কোথা নাই ঘরবাড়ী ওড় গায়ের ডাঙ্গা ॥ নিজগুণে ঘদি রাখ করুণা নয়নে দেখ নইলে জপে তপে তোমায় পাঁওয়া সে সব কথা ভূতের সাঙ্গ ॥ কমলাকান্তের কথা মাকে বলি মনের ব্যথা আমার জপের মালা ঝুলি কীথা জপের ঘরে রইল টাঙ্গা ॥! কালি সব ঘুচালি লেঠা । শ্রীনাথের লিখন আছে যেমন রাঁখবি কি ন! রাখবি সেটা ॥ তোমার যারে কৃপা হয় তার স্ষ্টিছাড়া রূপের ছটা। তার কটিতে কৌপিন যোড়ে গায়ে ছাই আর মাথায় জটা ॥ শ্বশীন পেলে স্থুখে ভাস তুচ্ছ বাস মণি কোঠা আপনি যেমন ঠাকুর তেমন্‌ ঘুচলোনাক সিদ্ধি ঘোটা ॥ দুখে রাখ সুখে রাখ করবো কি আর দিয়ে খোটা আমি দাগ দিযে পরেছি যখন পু'ছতে নারি সাধের ফোটা ॥ জগত জুড়ে নাম দিয়েছ কমলাকান্ত কালীর বেটা এখন মায়ে পোয়ে কেমন ব্াভার ইহার মর্ম জান্বে কেটা ॥ 2 One characteristic note of these songs is its sincerity, a sincerity which redeems even the slightest song from insignificance and confers on the finer pieces an importance } Kamalakanta Padabali, p. 29. * [did, p. 39.
