——
His EPITAPH.

OF Newbury here lies valiant Jack,
Shrouded in white, come to his end,
By death, that now has broke his back
Who to his country was a friend.

An aid to these who labour lov’d,
An aid to the poor, blind, and lame,
Men, women, children, ail have prov’d
The succour sweet that from him came

Winchcomb adieu, God hath thy soul,
Thy body lies entomb’d in earth,
Thy works brave histories do enrol,
Thy life the fame, e’en from thy birth.

FINIS.
