On the edge of a copse lie four cows, two of them whitish-brown and two reddish- brown ; a fifth dark-spotted cow stands on the bank of a river, on which are several vessels. Sm. counts seven cows in all, adding two dark cows that lie down. The herdsman, wearing a white shirt and blue breeches, sits on a bank to the right, with his stick beside him. On the opposite side of the river are a few houses and trees. [Possibly identical with 302.] Panel, 19^ inches by 29 inches. Sale. N.
