At the side is a herdsman with cattle. In front are two felled tree-trunks. To the right is a hilly landscape, with a church tower beyond. Heavy rains have flooded a road and the adjacent ground. Two small oaks stand on a hillock near the road. On the other side, a wood bounds the view.
