The lady, in yellow satin, sits holding a child on her lap. The child, in a white satin frock, takes fruit from a silver dish offered by a maid-servant. Portrait of a Married Couple. Half-length. In the collection of G. M. Wittich, Berlin, 1864 (Parthey, ii. 190). 470. A Family Group. In a courtyard near a tree a lady in purplish velvet sits with a little boy on her lap. She is surrounded by three children. To the right stands her husband in hunting costume j he holds a gun in his right hand and a heath-cock in his left. Farther away are some little dogs and other accessories. Exceptionally well rendered. Canvas, 6i inches by 66 J inches.
