Half-length, turned to the right j seen behind a balustrade, on which he leans his right arm. His face, framed in a full curled wig, is turned towards the spectator. He holds on the balustrade with his left hand a picture of a landscape with two figures, possibly mythological. He wears a cloak falling in folds over the right arm, a white cravat, and a medal on a chain at his breast. To the right a curtain is caught up on high.
