52 GERARD TER BORCH SECT. 140. THE DUET. Sm. 57. Full-length figures. On the right sits a lady wearing a yellow morning-wrapper bordered with ermine, and a rich white satin skirt embroidered with gold. Another cavalier, leaning with both arms on the back of a chair, stands on the farther side of the table, looking at the lute- player. On the table, besides the music, are a tablet and a wine-glass.
