He is in black, with a broad felt hat on his brown hair. He rests his right hand on his hip. His cloak hangs over his left arm. Canvas, 28^ inches by 20 inches. See Moes, Iconographia Batava, No. 355. It passed by inheritance from the sitter's possession into the Houck family.
