Still she hurried continually, for she wished to be at her place of destination as soon as possible. At last we came to the end of our journey; it was like a burden lifted off my shoulders when we saw in the distance the town. I wish to say that near the end of the drive she lay almost supported by my arms… I saw she lay in the coach senseless,—when the coach was shaken on the rough road she struck her head against the arm of the coach. I held her up with my right hand, and in that manner we drove on. The position was easier for her, yet at first she pushed me away: “Go away!”
