The Varftha or Boar. Taittiriya-Samhita VII. 1, 5, I 1 : ipo va idam agre salilam asit, tasmin pra#apatir vayur bhutva&arat, sa imam apasyat, tarn varaho bhutvaharat, taw visvakarma bhutva v^'amait. Saprathata, sa przthivy abhavat, tat przthivyai przthivitvam. Tasyam asramyat pra^apati/i, sa devan asn'^ata, vasun rudran adityan. Te deva'A pra^apatim abruvan, pra ^ayamaha iti. So 'bra- vit II 1 11 yathaham yushma'ins tapasasrzkshy evam tapasi pra^ananam iM^adhvam iti. T^bhyo 'gnim ay^tanam praya&Mad, etenayatanena sram- yateti.
