edition of the Poetry of the Eight Numbers, though well aware that it is impossible for these verses to be detached from the beautiful airs to which they were associated, without losing even more than the "animæ dimidium" in the process.
The advertisements, which were prefixed to the different numbers, the Prefatory Letter upon Music, &c., will be found in an Appendix at the end of the Volume.
