PREFACE
All the stories in this book have been collected from various Jewish writings. No attempt has been made to give a literal translation. The tales have been retold in a modern setting. Some of these quaint old tales and stories brought comfort to the children of Israel in the days of long ago. Perhaps some pleasure may be derived by their persusal in our days.
