the autumn days will one day come, if we sow in faith and work in faith.

From another village another teacher also came to help with school, and Mr. Dobbeler and I rode there. There was such a distress - a lot of houses destroyed. A lot of naked, miserable kids flocked around us. One really wanted to start a school for all these little ones who are growing up without hearing anything about Jesus. A man in the village would really like to give a room for school, so then there were mere for a teacher to teach; he must have 12 lira = 130 kr. for a year.

The Gregorians probably has many teachers, but there are so many villages that they cannot reach all. Also pray especially for evangelists and teachers for the Sassoon region, where it looks hopeless. Our pastor in Hawadorig was up there this spring, and he a lot to tell. In a village they lived in mountain canyons, they had no houses. In the winter, they scattered in various villages to seek shelter. Many places they didn’t understand him, though he spoke as easily as possible. He had been in the most remote villages in the wild mountain areas, where it was impossible to ride, yes, even on foot it was difficult enough. All of them were very hospitable, but terribly poor, often it was difficult enough to get anything to lie on or anything edible to eat, many were eating grass.
