without abandoning their Christianity. What they have suffered can only be understood by those who have lived among them.

Yet many thousands of widows and fatherless roam without help and protection in the most miserable state. They need our prayers, our love, help and compassion more than ever.

Let us pray that the Lord, in His great grace, will have mercy on them and lead them so that they will get their beloved Fatherland back and that after all this awful tribulation, a brighter time will have to come for this brave little people who so courageously has suffered for their faith and their country.

There is so much talk about Belgium and all its suffering, which has also been great. But what are they compared to what Armenia has suffered in these 400 years? I have to wonder how our people would endure such a test of fire. We, who live in the clear light of the gospel, and who, in such abundancy, have experienced the Lord's great goodness and faithfulness.

In all likelihood, the Armenians will get at least part of their country back, and there will open up plenty of opportunities for a great missionary activity. If it be the Lord's will again to send me there, I stand ready. Dear friends, pray that He will, empower me, and let me go in the deeds prepared by Him. Efes. 2, 10.

Miss Elise Blædel, who for a number of years has been Danish K. M. A.'s faithful and interested treasurer and secretary of the Armenian Committee since 1901, has gone home to God. - Also, in the work of the Norwegian Armenian Committee, we have always benefited from her good advice and her help in sending the money to Armenia. And many of us who know her have a good memory of a rare warm-hearted worker in the kingdom of God.

The Armenian friends in Norway have shown how much the distress of Armenia has been on their hearts and how faithfully they have followed in prayer and thought in all these years of tribulation; perhaps now the hour of God is coming with answers to the faithful prayers. -
