The small Armenian Republic is located in the Caucasus and consists only of the two provinces of Erivan and Kars. The peace treaty was supposed to meant that Armenia should become large and have access to both the Mediterranean and the Black Sea; but it does not appear that they are getting more than the provinces of Erzeroum, Bitlis and Van in Turkish Armenia, but these parts of the land is still in the hands of the Turks. However, there is hope that Armenia will also get a part of the Trebizond with access to the Black Sea and perhaps Mamure-el-Asis.
