"It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the
mother of James, and other women that were with them,
which told these things."


THEY trusted it was He who should redeem

His people from their bondage, yet they saw

Him bound by cruel foes. What could it mean?

And they believed, if He but prayed, that more

Than hosts of shining angels would attend;

Yet all alone He neared the dreadful end.

"I am the Life," the gracious words He said.

Can it be possible the Life is dead?
