Afterword

The two languages used in this book are actually one and the same language with two different writing systems: It is called Toki Pona and it is a so-called "constructed language", that is, it was invented - by Sonja Lang in 2001. "Toki Pona" means something like "good language" or "simple language" and has the interesting property that you can converse in it, but at the same time it is very, very simple: the language has only 120 words. A full list of words can be found at https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:Toki_Pona and a language course can be found at https://devurandom.xyz/tokipona/. Toki Pona can be written in many different writing systems and also has its own writing systems, the most famous being the one I have used in this book: sitelen pona. Since Toki Pona only has 120 words, it is not a problem to have a hieroglyph for each word. For the version of sitelen pona used in the book, I used https://wyub.github.io/tokipona/linjasike .
