It does not appear that these notes were ever inserted in an edition of the book for which they were designed. After their first preparation the notes were expanded and published in their present form. These ab- stracts of cases, arranged under appropriate titles, have long since, in substance, been incorporated into other works upon the law of evidence. BAYARD, JAMES. The author does not profess, in this work, to give a very extensive exposition of the Constitution.
