GOD GLOVER, W. T. 1841 ; to which is prefixed an Historical Summary of the Corporate System of Great Britain and Ireland. 8vo. London. 1841. In the Historical Summary, which precedes the legal portion of this work, Mr. Glover has compressed a succinct account of the ancient and modern Corporate System ; together with a precise state of the reforms recently etTected by the Legislature, for amending the municipal institu- tions of Great Britain. 1 Month. Rev. 1836. GLYN, THOMAS C. and ROBERT S. JAMESON. Reports of Cases in Bankruptcy, decided by Lord Chancellor Eldon, and V. C. Sir John Leach, from Mich. Term, 1821, to East. Term, 1828. 2 vols. 8vo. London. 1824-28. GLYNN, JOHN. The whole Proceedings on the King's Com- mission of the Peace, Oyer and Terminer, and Gaol Delivery for the City of London, and also the Gaol Delivery for the County of Middlesex, held at Justice Hall in the Old Bailey. 4to. London. 1775. GODBOLT, JOHN. Reports of certain Cases arising in the several Courts of Record at Westminster, in the Reignes of Eliz., Jac, and the late King Charles. 4to. London. 1652 or 53. The editor informs us, that the Cases were " collected by very qood hands, and lately revised, examined, and approved by the late learned Justice Godbolt." It appears, therefore, a misnomer to call them God- bolt's Reports. " Godbolt is a mean reporter, yet not to be rejected." North's Stu. L. 24. GODSON, R. A Practical Treatise on the Law of Patents for Inventions, and of Copyright, illustrated by Notes of the principal Cases ; with an Abstract of the Laws in force in Foreign Coun- tries. 2d ed. 8vo. London. 1840. The author was the first English writer to publish a methodical trea- tise upon this comparatively new department of the law. He has given a general and accurate analysis of the Cases, and presented the whole learning upon a subject no less difficult than important, in a very attrac- tive manner. A supplement to the second edition appeared in 1844, No. 19, L. M. 109; 18 A. J. 106; Pref. Phil. Pat.; 5 L. O. 119. 339
