The Cases in the first part of the volume, were extracted, by Jefferson, from the MS. Reports of Randolph, Barradall, and Hopkins; and those in the latter part are leading Cases, taken by the Reporter, but neither pos- sess any uncommon value, on account of their learning or the manner in which they are reported. The volume, also, contains an Essay, written to prove that Christianity is no part of the Common Law. 421
