LAW Profession, from year to year, the latest English works upon almost every branch of the law. The monthly pamphlet form in which it appears, enhances the extent of its usefulness, by enabling its subscribers to receive it through the mails, and thus it finds its way into all parts of the Union, conveying the latest information upon the administration of justice abroad, and furnishing guides for the exposition of similar ques- tions, as they arise in the various Courts of our country. A publication of such usefulness, deserves the hearty support of the American Bar. The early volumes are out of print, and the publishers, from time to time, number the volumes of the series from a period when they can furnish the consecutive volumes. The separate works that are comprised in the entire Law Library, to the present time, are entered in their appropriate places, with the words See Law Library, after the titles, and it would sub- serve no useful purpose to recapitulate them here. 5 A. L. M. 246. LAW. The new Library of Law and Equity. Edited by F. J. Troubat, E. Lewis, and W. M'Candless. 5 vols. 8vo. Harris- burgh. 1845-46. The above is a rival work to the Law Library, and is published upon the same plan. The series, thus far, contains reprints of Broom's Max- ims, Daniell's Chancery Practice, Forsyth on Composition, Greening's Forms, Roscoe's Pleading, Student's Manual, Williams' Law of Real Property, Wigram on Wills. ^' . Svo. London. 1718. " This is a performance so very trifling and incorrect, that it tends more to mislead than to inform the inquisitive or industrious reader, which is evident on comparing the words used in that Dictionary, with the origi- nals from whence they were taken." 47 Crit.
