Steubenville. 1843. LECHFORD, THOMAS. Plain Dealing, or News from New England. 8vo. London. 1642. This tract contains some valuabl'; information respecting the old Colony Laws of Massachusetts. The author, having sought in vain to gain a livelihood among the Colonists as an attorney, and being cau- tioned at a quarter Court not to meddle with controversies, returned to England and wrote this tract. It appears to be a sensible production, and by no means deserves the slur which Hutchinson has seen fit to, bestow upon it. 12 A. J. 335. LE CRAS, ABRAHAM J. London. 1839. There is much in this little book to interest both the lawyer and the general reader, relative to the moral to which the book will point, and for the information which it is well calculated to afford. 6 M.
